🌸 The Things Nobody Tells You About Pregnancy
Pregnancy is often described as one of the most exciting times in a woman’s life.
And it can be.
But it can also be confusing, emotional, exhausting and sometimes completely unexpected.
There are the obvious changes — your growing bump, appointments, scans and feeling your baby move.
Then there are the little things nobody quite prepares you for.
Your body may feel unfamiliar
One day you might feel completely like yourself. The next, you’re tired, emotional, uncomfortable or wondering why something that never bothered you before suddenly does.
Pregnancy is a time of enormous change, and it’s perfectly normal to have questions along the way.
You don’t have to know everything
One of the biggest things I want women to remember is this:
You don’t need to have pregnancy all figured out.
You are allowed to ask questions.
You are allowed to say, “Is this normal?”
You are allowed to need reassurance.
And you are allowed to take pregnancy one day at a time.
Looking after yourself matters too
When you’re pregnant, so much of the focus naturally goes towards your growing baby.
But you matter too.
Taking a few minutes to moisturise your skin, have a quiet cup of tea, read something reassuring or simply put your feet up isn’t selfish.
It’s part of looking after yourself.
And sometimes you just need someone to explain things simply
That was one of the reasons I wrote Can I? In Pregnancy.
Pregnancy comes with questions — lots of them.
I wanted to create something that women could pick up when they were wondering about something and find information presented in a simple, approachable and reassuring way.
Not a book that feels overwhelming.
A book you can dip into throughout your pregnancy.
🤍 Your pregnancy journey is your own
There is no perfect way to feel during pregnancy.
Some days will be wonderful.
Some will be difficult.
Some will leave you thinking, “Is it just me?”
You’re not alone.
And you don’t have to navigate every question without support.
