Weeks 3+

At the stage you may have noticed symptoms of early pregnancy. Your breasts are tender and your period may be due soon or a day or two late.

After getting your positive test result you should have already commenced folic acid if you haven’t done so in the months leading up to a positive test.

• Your next step is to contact your GP to confirm your pregnancy and register with a care center.

Your options are extensive and something to consider eg. Public, semi private , private, combined care or midwife led domino care.

• If you choose public the GP will refer you.

If private or semi-private you should ring the departments/secretaries to gather information and to register.
